Descripción:

The bus boycotts were a civil-rights protest. African Americans refused to ride city buses to protest the segregated seating. During the time, African Americans were required to sit in the back of the buses. They were also forced to give up their seats to any white rider on the bus. Before the boycott began, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give her seat to a white man.
