Advocacy for Chicana/Latina Issues (1 ene 1970 año – 31 dic 1979 año)

Descripción:

The women felt that as a movement there was a lack of acknowledgement for prominent issues that were only affecting women, as those in charge were men and they generally only advocated/fought for solutions to problems only affecting them.
Education and access to resources was key for creating change and empowering women in the community. In the long run it created safe spaces for not only women but girls and anyone struggling in the community. These newly created spaces/programs provided access to help for a wide range of problems(especially mental health problems).
