Descripción:

Break-in to Watergate Building (Democrat headquarters) that was later revealed to be coordinated by Nixon for his political advantage in 1972 reelection.
Worse however was the way that NIxon handled the event, continually lying and denying his invovlement. Some say he overstepped power to cover it up.
Eventually led to his resignation. MASSIVE decline in trust of American people in government.
