Great Migration (1 ene 1910 año – 31 dic 1970 año)
Descripción:
During the Great Migration, about 6 million African Americans moved from the South to the Northeast and Midwest to escape racism in the South and find work in the growing industrial cities.
Although the North had not legalized segregation in the public sphere, African Americans still faced prejudice and racism for example regarding jobs and housing which also lead to the creation of the American ghetto through practice of redlining.
