Contemporary Era (1 oct 1949 año – 11 abr 2023 año)
Descripción:
The contemporary era of China refers to the period since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, led by the Communist Party of China (CPC/CCP) under the leadership of Mao Zedong. During Mao's rule, China underwent significant political and economic changes, including the implementation of communist policies, land reforms, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution.
After Mao's death in 1976, Deng Xiaoping emerged as the leader of China and began implementing economic reforms, opening up the country to foreign investment and modernizing the economy. This led to a period of rapid economic growth and development, known as the "Chinese economic miracle."
Since then, China has become one of the world's largest economies, and its influence in global affairs has increased significantly. However, China remains a one-party state under the rule of the CPC/CCP, with restrictions on political and civil rights, and ongoing tensions with various countries over territorial disputes and human rights issues.
