Srinivasa Ramanujan (22 dic 1887 año – 26 abr 1920 año)

Descripción:

Indian mathematician who made significant contributions to number theory, continued fractions, and infinite series, despite having little formal education and facing significant prejudice due to his background. Ramanujan developed many novel formulas and identities in number theory, some of which continue to inspire new research today. One of his most famous formulas is the Ramanujan's series for pi, which states that 1/pi is equal to the infinite sum of (4n)!(1103+26390n) / (n!)^4 * 396^(4n), where n ranges from 0 to infinity.
