Dropping the Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki occurred on August 6, 1945, an estimated 80,000 people died and thousands would later pass from radiation exposure in Hiroshima, Japan from an atomic bomb dropping. This was an attempt by the Allied forces to stop Japan and try to get them to surrender, but they refused and were thought to be even more deadly when they dealt with defeat. Three days after the first bombing another atomic bomb was dropped over Nagasaki, Japan killing another 40,000 people. With the thousands of deaths and more to come if they didn’t surrender the Emperor of Japan Hirohito surrendered and officially ended World War II.
