Abijah went to war with Jeroboam I king of Israel, he went to war with Jeroboam I because he wanted to rule over all twelve tribes; and he accuses Jeroboam I of not serving the lord, because they served golden calves. Abijah said that the kingdom of Judah served the Lord. Abijah won the war with Jeroboam I. He was a bad king even though he had proper temple worship he continued to worship false gods.
