Zechariah was the last descendent from Jehu's line. he reigned for six months, and then was assassinated by Shallum, his successor. Zechariah did evil in the sight of the Lord, like his forefathers had done.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his predecessors had done. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.
