Nabad was the son of Jeroboam. He did evil in the sight of the Lord and served idols. During his reign Baasha plotted against him and killed him at Gibbethon, while they were besieging it.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the ways of his father and committing the same sin his father had caused Israel to commit.
