They were Vaishnava, but also allowed Buddhism and Jainism. The combination of these beliefs made Hinduism.
Advancements in math, philosophy and astronomy. Started the use of 0.
It was divided into smaller provinces.
Some conquered kings were put back in place and then taxed regularly by Gupta.
The empire laws were fair and the people had plenty of freedom. It was peaceful.
When: 320-550
Where: North India
Why: Why was there so little crime?
They were thriving economically, so there was less of a reason to steal anything.
End: Domestic conflicts, corrupt king and nobility, and attack from the White Huns. It fell apart into many different groups that failed to unify India for many centuries.
Timely: Had a lot of power and wealth. Taxed kingdoms they conquered.
Lasting: Changes in math, writing, art, and astronomy. They also developed Hinduism.
