What:
Yellow River made civilizations easy due to its wet land.
Many other civilizations other than China.
Every Civilization focused on a male clan leader being the leader as well as a holy figure.
Family was important to these tribes and kingdoms.

Neolithic Yellow River Civilization (6000-2000) was defined by the 3 cultures.
Peiligang Culture (6000-5000):
Lived in caves and created pottery. Most people were farmers.
Yangshao Culture (5000-3000):
They loved mainly red pottery and agriculture. They were hunters and gathers.
Longshan Culture (2500-2000):
Used black and gray pottery and bronze started using bronze.

Bronze Age
China was founded with the Xia Dynasty (2070-1600)
They created Bronze and irrigation.
Shang Dynasty (1600-1046)
Created Writing and Agriculture thrived. Created many large cities.
Erligang Culture, Yinxu Culture, and Zhouyuan Culture were still independent of China.

Feudal Age
Zhou Dynasty (1046–256). Took control of all the other civilizations.
When: 4,000 BCE-256 BCE
Where: China, near the yellow river.
Why: Why was there so much pottery?
It promoted economics and culture. And unlike other art forms, It could be used for cooking, storage, and plates.
End:
Zhou Dynasty spread and fused with all the Yellow River civilizations. When the Qin Dynasty took over they expanded further past the Yellow River.
Timely Impact:
It was where every East Asian civilization was. Created new technologies that helped cultures thrive and made it so other jobs than farmers and gathers were possible.
Lasting Impact:
Beginning of Chinese history and civilizations. Created early advancements for East Asian civilizations. Created many ethnic groups in China.
