Daeron I Targaryen, known as the Young Dragon, was the eldest son of King Aegon III Targaryen and Queen Daenaera Velaryon, and the eighth Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne. He ascended to the throne at the age of fourteen and is famous for invading Dorne, which he wrote about in his The Conquest of Dorne.
He died without children and was succeeded by his younger brother, Baelor.
