Started when Maria Theresa succeeded the Austrian monarchy and Prussia and France used it as an excuse to try to conquer more land. Austria allied with England and fighting occurred in Europe, Asia, and North America. It ended with the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle, but Prussia kept Silisia.
