The extremely overstretched Eridanian occupation force decided to fully dismantle the planet Mercury in favor of the growing Solar dyson swarm (one of the smallest in terran space), leading to a large-scale rebellion across the Solar System, which saw the Eridanians pushed back. The Solar Free State was declared, adopting a stance where it was fiercely independent from the rest of the Terran sphere.
