Mullins spent a significant time working for the Southern Baptist Mission Board as a secretary. His biggest impact was as the president of Southern Seminary where he was involved in moving the location of the seminary. He wrote many major articles that have been important in Southern Baptist theology. He had a positive impact on the Southern Baptist as a whole.
