The process of creating the founding documents was defined
by compromise as the founders attempted to negotiate the divide between Federalists and
Anti-Federalists to define the powers of the US federal and state governments. The conflict
resulted in a bicameral legislature and the Bill of Rights, but failed to protect or
acknowledge rights of enslaved people.


One way Jacksonian Democracy changed American politics was through extended white male voting rights. Jackson made it universal to have voting rights for white men and requirements to own property and pay taxes to vote. Another way Jackson changed American politics was through the spoils system which meant after winning an election the winner should give their supporters a place to work in the government. Jackson also brought the idea of laissez-faire governing where citizens ran the majority of the economy not the government.

The market revolution created mass economic grow and personal wealth. In the South the market revolution led to more forced labor and increase of slavery. Meanwhile in the North massive textile mills turned southern cotton into cloth benefiting both sides of the country. The American economy advanced rapidly. And the Market revolution turned America to a country of free labor and slavery.
