Descripción:

Charles II was brought to the throne as Parliament was restored and established with the Anglican Church. Parliament enacted the Test Act of 1673 against those outside the Church of England, which took away many of their rights but had little enforcement. Charles entered a secret agreement with his cousin Louis XIV for money and Charles would relax laws against Catholics and convert to Catholicism.
