During 1794 the British were severely weakened due to many of their forces dying from a disease known as black vomit.
This loss in numbers would start a chain of events where the British tried and failed to regain their footing.
Ultimately the impact of black vomit resulted in the British forfeiting.
Between 1793 and 1798 over 100,000 were left dead or disabled by black vomit.
