Descripción:

France came into the war in 1778 and gave supplies and men to America. Spain also declared war in 1779 an attacked British forts in the Caribbean. Another ally was the Netherlands which provided loans to the United States and declared war on Britain. Other European countries such as Russia, Norway, Denmark, and Portugal supported the United States as well.
