The Second Continental Congress was a meeting of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies convening on 10 May 1775. The Second Congress functioned as a de facto national government at the onset of the Revolutionary War. On 1 Mar 1781, The Second Congress was disbanded and replaced by the Congress of Confederation.
