Based on a pension statement, a soldier under Patriot Capt Elisha Magee (McGee), St David's Parish militia skirmished with unknown Tories. Several Tories were killed and the rest dispersed. Few Whigs lived in the area so his militia unit was to supress the Tories in the area.
