Tea Act & Boston Tea Party – 1773 In 1773 (4 ene 1773 año – 4 dic 1773 año)
Descripción:
, Parliament passed the Regulating Act, which effectively put the troubled company under government control. It then passed the Tea Act, which would allow the company to sell its tea in the colonies directly and without the company having to pay the usual export tax in London. Even though this would greatly lower the cost of tea for colonists, they resisted. The colonists joined together and dumped and destroyed tea.
