King Ardeka the Broken was widely known to be infertile. Despite this fact, Ardeka tried to rule Oipenta with an iron fist and pushed for the full control of all Oipientian land and the destruction of Iopo. He is the main reason as to why the Baroba War broke out.

King Ardeka was called the Broken because he broke his right arm at age 13, resulting in complete disfigurement and paralysis of his arm. This imposed a weak image of Ardeka, leading him to struggle with support from his vassals and being able to properly tax his citizens. It also lessened his ability with foreign relations, but it did not stop him from allying with the Kingdom of Larifya and starting the Barob War.
