22-year-old Elliot Rodger went on a rampage in areas of Isla Vista, CA, killing 6 innocent people, as well as himself, and injuring many others. His killings were an act of misogyny, and he inspired many other misogynistic attacks, such as the Toronto van attack committed by Alek Minassian, who quoted Rodger on his social media posts. Rodger left a manifesto of roughly 140 pages before the murder-suicide.
