First Christmas since his mum left. Janet gives him three presents – Series two of Star Trek: The Next Generation on VHS, a Star Trek t-shirt, and a Sci-Fi French comic, Valérian and Laureline. Items that go on to be some of his most treasured possessions, the comic starting his collection.

This is also the same holiday he meets Janet’s new boyfriend, Dimitri Whiting. Will doesn’t like him and doesn’t trust him but is too young to voice this. (Janet is already unknowingly pregnant with Mark – conceived in November)
