Lucy Stone (13 agos 1818 año – 18 oct 1893 año)

Descripción:

Lucy Stone was a verbal woman, she spoke her mind and wanted everyone to be convinced. She spoke out against to major things in this time period, slavery and women's inequality. She was one of the bravest women figures because it wasn't normal to have women speak out about these issues. She strongly believed in women's independence. This is why she was the first female graduate in Massachusetts. She supported other programs that fought for her beliefs as well, like the Women's National Loyal League, which was founded by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. An accomplishment that many are proud of is that she was elected president of the State Woman's Suffrage Association of New Jersey. This is what she lived for and was never tired of it.
This is siginificant in history because Lucy gave other women in that time period someone to look up to, a role model they would admire and listen to. Also she was an important figure in history because she was brave to fight for positive change in the nation.
