Second Schleswig War (1 feb 1864 año – 30 oct 1864 año)
Descripción:
An Austro-Prussian coalition defeats Denmark in the Second Schleswig in order to protect the right of secession of ethnic Germans in Denmark. This conflict is notable not only for being the last real example of Austro-Prussian cooperation prior to World War One, but also being an example of national chauvinism, independent of liberal politics, being used for the gain of great powers, a factor which distinguishes it from earlier national rebellions and revolutions which were earlier at least tinted with the principles of the "democratic and social republic."
