Decaying of Papacy Pt.2 (1 ene 1295 año – 1 ene 1420 año)

Descripción:

With the feud between Pope Boniface VIII and King Philip IV of France, the papacy enters a second period of decaying influence and integrity. The natural catastrophes of the 14th century CE, the Avignon Papacy (also called the “Babylonian Captivity of the Papacy”), and the Western Schism seed a growing mistrust of the papacy’s divine authority and begin laying the groundwork for the coming Protestant Reformation.

The Protestant reformation was getting fueled by the growing tension, & mistrust that was arising from the Popes, and the people including:
- Western Schism
- Pope Boniface VIII v. King Philip IV (France)
- "Babylonian Capture of the Papacy"
