Germany's Hyperinflation (1 ene 1921 año – 1 ene 1923 año)

Descripción:

In order to repay the "Reparations" and the debt which Germany used to finance the war (thinking they would have won) which the Treaty of Versailles had imposed on the country, Germany started printing a lot of money, creating a phenomenon of hyperinflation.
When Germany eventually couldn't afford to repay its next payment France occupied the Ruhr territory.
Die Deutschen then decided to use passive resistance, effectively striking in order not to help the french.
The government had to give money to the workers and, since they didn't have it, they printed even more, worsening the already bad hyperinflation.
This wiped out the savings of many germans and has contributed to the birth of the "new right" - the nazis.
Thanks to a mix of austere fiscal policies (raising taxes & cutting spending) and foreign support the country managed to end their inflation
