Ecruteak Civil War (21 agos 4831 año – 14 jul 4849 año)

Descripción:

After the expulsion of the angels, the elite who ruled with the armada ancestors are still in power. Class divides are heavy, people are starving, warlords have started to wage war against one another while the planetary govt does nothing, shoguns are rebelling against the planetary govt, and the native Yami are warring against the Hikari.

Rouge joins with the Yami, eventually gathering a large following of Yami natives. They believe the light walkers "Hikari" are desecrating the land (Primus Tenbris, pearl sea extraction) and abusing the power of the void. Rouge maintains his true identity as he goes by Valdis the Slayer.

The disciplines of ecruteak, once repected, have become corrupt and their respective leaders seek only power or money. Lao-min have become mercs and want to see the conflict last as long as possible. Shao-shi have become interplanetary assassins and want to have Clan Drimscal win the Pearl Sea War to keep their rival Jin in check. Jin wants the Whisper forest since it was taken from them by the Shao-shi. To do this they back the Sazaki Clan in the Pearl Sea War, they harass the shao-shi whenever they can, enlist help from the Yami, and are looking into uncovering the Sword of Oami (Rouge's Sword)

Pearl Sea warlords discovered that the pearls are actually small forms of energy that can be used for space travel and other advanced applications. This discovery has lead to war between the Sazaki, Drimscal, and Hesa clans. The war has caused the price of the pearls to go up higher and interplanetary shipping has stopped completely.

Planetary gov't does little to mediate the fighting on the mainland. They spend their time on the utopia Primus Tenbris, where corporations and the elite make their money through interplanetary trade, often at the expense of Ecruteak and it's people.
