Erik the Red (1 ene 950 año – 1 ene 1003 año)
Descripción:
Erik Thorvaldson a.k.a Erik the Red, was the founder of the first European settlement on Greenland and the father of Leif Erikson, one of the first Europeans to reach North America. He most likely had red hair or a red beard and was both an explorer and an outlaw. He was born in an Jæren district of south-west Norway, but accompanied his father to Iceland after his dad, Thorvald, was accused of manslaughter. Like his father, Erik was committed murder on at least two of his neighbours. He used his punishment as an opportunity as he reached and eventually established settlements in Greenland.
