After much deliberation it was decided to go around the black shroud found. This would delay the ship by a few months but probes have shown that as long as you avoid the shroud no problems occur.

Colonist have finally made it to the Weizon system in 2259, led by researcher "Owen Frasier" to discover the most diverse set of creatures to date. The Planet would be come to be named "Oblik" but be referred in common as "Owen's World"
