The First Red Scare was a period during the early 20th-century history of the United States marked by a widespread fear of far-left extremism. The second red scare also known as McCarthyism. This scare led Federal employees to test and prove their loyalty to the government and went as far as the Hollywood film industry.

The Red Scare provided clarity for the United States. It helped us catch communists but at the same time, citizens who were not guilty were falsely accused and executed. All the fear and doubts subsided after the 1950’s.
