British Raj (13 ene 1757 año – 13 ene 1947 año)

Descripción:

This period is when the British occupied India. The British forced their religion and moral standards on the Indians which eventually resulted in war.

1. This resulted in the contraction of liberty because even though the Indian religion seemed barbaric in some of its policies they were devoted to their beliefs. They did not appreciate that they British were forcing their beliefs on them.

2. The event affected families because the British occupying India resulted in a revolt which angered the Indians and scared the ones that were trying to protect family members.

3. The event did help prepare the way for missionary work in India. Ever since the 19th century missionaries have been going there. I think that the British were able to convert enough people to Christianity that it was allowed in India.
