Was a democrat. Known for liberal reforms. Kennedy marked a shift from conservatism to liberalism and his agenda was called the "New Frontier." He established the Peace Corps in 1961 to assist underdeveloped countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Also made the Agency for International Development and Alliance for Progress, which had similar goals of aiding foreign countries.
