Descripción:

Modoc people rebelled and left their reservation and returned to their homelands in Lost River. After being ordered to return to the res, 52 Modoc led by Kintpuash aka Captain Jack took up defense on the CA-OR border. Fought a guerilla war for 11 months, killing 200 US troops. Were forced to surrender and return. Kintpuash was hanged.
