The New Deal and African Americans (1 ene 1933 año – 1 ene 1939 año)
Descripción:
Although more African Americans switched from the Republican party to the Democratic Party due to their support of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the New Deal did little to decrease racial inequality. Many of the CCC programs kept segregation in place. Also, the New Deal left out non unionized industries and agriculture where many African Americans were employed.
