White Male Suffrage (1 ene 1825 año – 1 ene 1840 año)
Descripción:
By 1825 approximately three fourths of the states allowed white male voters to elect members of the electoral college, Atlantic states had eliminated property qualifications on white male voters and new states along the frontier established unreal white male suffrage. However, this did not extend to African Americans, and in fact, by 1840, 93% of African Americans in the North were excluded from voting. Therefore, as more white men were able to vote in the North, fewer black men were able to vote.
