Descripción:

Jackson blames Bank of US for Panic of 1819. 1832 congress voted to renew the charter for the bank, but AJ vetoed the decision. Also ordered cabinet to stop depositing funds into the bank. Instead he did business with select state banks (called his "pet banks"). This move was unpopular with businessmen, who moved to form the Whig Party to oppose Jackson.
