The Marshall Plan was a U.S. recovery program that aided Europe after WWII. Its purpose was to boost the European economy and to prevent any spread of communism. This affected the Cold War because this plan was very successful and it helped Europe to rebuild their destroyed industries and it helped to stop communist parties.
