Politics of the Common Man: Universal male suffrage (1 ene 1824 año – 1 ene 1840 año)
Descripción:
Between 1824 and 1840 politics moved from the wealthy plantation owners from the south and the wealthy merchants from the north to middle and lower-class homes. These changes were made possible by improved education, changes in political parties and campaigns. As time went by, all states eventually allowed all white men to vote regardless of social status and wealth. This made voting numbers for the president rise from 350,000 to over 2.4 million in just 4 years.
