Descripción:

Now that Hitler had taken over the west of Poland, he tried to make peace with
Britain and France, but they would not back down. During the winter of 1939-1940,
British and French troops waited along the French borders with Belgium and Germany,
expecting a German attack. However, nothing happened! This period of time has come
to be known as the “Phoney War”.
