The American Revolution (21 h 16 m, 1 ene 1775 año – 11 h 40 m, 27 jun 1783 año)

Descripción:

Before the American Revolution started, there were several colonies in America, not all participated in the revolution. The Thirteen Colonies were the ones who ended up participating.

One of the most major reasons that the colonists fought against the British was because they felt they weren't represented in the British Parliament. The British Government would make new laws and taxes to put on the colonists, and yet they had no say in any of the laws, or taxes made. The colonies wanted to have some sort of representation or say in the British Parliament if they were going to have to live by the British laws.

War didn't begin straight away. In the beginning, there were arguments and protests, followed by disagreements between the local British army and the colonists. Over the course of time, things began to get worse, until finally, war broke out between Great Britain and the colonies.

Once independence came, each colony had it's own government. In 1774, they each elected officials to present them at the First COntinental Congress.
