Cominform (5 sept 1947 año – 17 abr 1956 año)
Descripción:
Cominform was a political organization that united the communist governments of the USSR, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, France and Italy. Cominform's work involved coordinating actions (particularly those against what they considered US led imperialism) between the communist parties of member states under the direction of the USSR, encouraging solidarity between communist countries around the world, promoting the benefits of communism, and fighting the rise of anti-communist sentiment through the publication of communist propaganda. Cominform published a newspaper called For Lasting Peace, for People's Democracy! in several languages, which helped it to circulate its propaganda.
Initiated by Stalin, Cominform was created in Poland in 1947, its headquarters were based in Belgrade in Yugoslavia, and then later moved to Bucharest in 1948 as a result of tensions between Yugoslavia and the USSR. In 1956, the USSR disbanded Cominform as part of a program of reconciliation with Yugoslavia.
