Many Latin American countries were struggling financially and supply-wise. Many countries turned to communism as a way of improving the economy. The US didn't like this, so they trained Latin American soldiers and gave millions of dollars of economic aid to Latin America. The Peace Corps. was also formed, which provided many people in Latin America with food, an education, and money. This effectively repelled communism in these countries.Añadido al timeline:
