The Manhattan project was made by the US. There were different scientists involved in this project like Albert Einstein and J. Robert Oppenheimer. They were creating a dangerous and deadly weapon called the atomic bomb or nuclear weapons. This took them about 7 years to make. This weapon was the key to end this war.
