Indian removal act (9 ene 1830 año – 28 agos 1835 año)
Descripción:
there where 3 main reasons that the Indian removal act was passed the first where economic reasons there was a lot of gold on Indian land that Americans couldn't get because they didn't have the territory and there was also plenty of land for people to farm from.the second reason was a political one the us did not believe that the Indians could maintain an independent government .the third reason also goes along with this because the government believed that the Indians couldn't maintain there own government because we believed that they where uncivilized savages.although these things where believed when the Worcestershire v Georgia case came into court the chief justice John Marshall ruled in favor of the Cherokees not wanting them to be removed.but Jackson hated the Indians so much that he did net care what the result of the case was and passed this anyway
