Labor Movement (1 ene 1881 año – 1 ene 1920 año)
Descripción:
The Labor Movement was for workers in the industrial sector where organized labor unions fought for better wages, reasonable hours and safer working conditions. It also led efforts to stop child labor, give health benefits and provide aid to workers who were injured due to working in the factories or retired. Many people apart of these labor unions were immigrants because industrial companies would put them in poor working conditions and pay them significantly less than a working class American. Also immigrants made up a large percentage of the US poverty class.
