Henry Moseley (1 ene 1887 año – 1 ene 1915 año)

Descripción:

Henry Moseley (1887-1915) was a British physicist, known for his organization of the periodic table and discovery of the atomic number. He also accidentally created in the first atomic battery in an attempt to prove Einstein's Theory of Relativity using beta particles. He organized the periodic table due to a desire to amend the issues with the current table (some elements did not fit in the table correctly, if organized by either properties or atomic weight) and he thus conducted an experiment in which he shot beta particles at different elements and observed that the x-rays each emitted was a certain frequency, and continued in a straight line for each increasing ATOMIC NUMBER we now accept as a given (hydrogen, then helium, etc.). He then organized the periodic table based on the most basic of atomic properties, the atomic number.
